Fully Funded Radboud University Scholarship 2022 – How to Apply

The Radboud University Scholarship Program is highly selective. This scholarship is available to talented and highly motivated students from non-EEA who have achieved outstanding academic results. It allows them to receive a scholarship for a Radboud University Master’s Degree program.

Radboud University, Nijmegen, is the most prestigious general and traditional university in the Netherlands. Here, top research meets high-quality education are combined. This video will show you what our campus looks like and our facilities.

It is now impossible to apply for Radboud Scholarship Programme 2022-2023. We are still unsure of the requirements, scope, duration, and requirements for 2023-2024.

The Radboud University Scholarship program is available.

The Radboud Scholarship Program gives several partial scholarships each year to support the duration of one of the English-taught Master’s degrees (except Erasmus Mundus Master’s programs or joint-degree Master’s programs).

The Radboud Scholarship will lower your tuition fees to EUR 2,209. For example, a grant holder for 2022/2023 will only pay EUR2,209 instead of EUR16,000.

A maximum of 37 Radboud scholarships are available for 2022/2023: Faculty of Arts (2) and Faculty of Law (14), Faculty of Medical Sciences (7), Nijmegen School of Management (3), Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies (1) Faculty of Science (8) Faculty of Social Sciences (2)

Additional information

  • A scholarship covers the cost of a visa, residence permit, and liability insurance during your stay in The Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance). The scholarship does not cover the costs of living or studying in The Netherlands. It can indicate the costs of living and study on their website (verwijst to een andere site).
  • If you are chosen as a scholarship recipient and are admitted to a Master’s degree program for two years, you must have passed all courses during the first year to be eligible for the grant again.
  • The Radboud Scholarship can’t be combined with the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship, Fulbright-Radboud Scholarship, or Orange Tulip Scholarship. Holland Scholarship. You may be eligible to apply for multiple scholarships, but only one scholarship is granted. Please note that you can’t apply for the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship Program and the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship. You can only apply to one.

Who is eligible to receive the Radboud University scholarship?

Only you are eligible to apply for Radboud University Scholarships.

  1. Obtain a passport that is not EU/EEA
  2. You are not eligible to pay the lower EEA tuition fees for any other reason.
  3. Have (will receive) a Bachelor’s Degree from a country other than the Netherlands. They have not received any education in the Netherlands before (exemptions apply if they are part of the bachelor’s degree obtained outside of the Netherlands).
  4. Meet the English language proficiency requirements for the Master’s program of your choice
  5. As stated in the official admission letter, you have been admitted to the English-taught Master’s degree program that begins on 1 September 2022.
  6. You are able and willing to follow the requirements for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands.
  7. Radboud University is accepting full-time students as part of the academic year. The scholarship will be awarded to those enrolled in Radboud University’s Master’s degree program.

How will students be chosen?

These criteria will determine the Radboud university scholarship winners.

  • Academic excellence
  • – Excellent results in your field of study (grades, test scores, publications).
  • – Relevance of your prior degree to the Master’s program.
  • – The ranking of your university from which you received your previous degree.
  • Ambition
  • – Your motivation letter for the Master’s program should be of high quality and relevance.
  • – Demonstrate promise based on past achievements, performance, and work in the relevant field.
  • – Extracurricular activities like volunteering or internships.
  • Refer to
  • – The quality of the recommendations in two reference letters, preferably two academics, please refer to these reference guides (pdf, 87KB).

The faculty selection committee evaluates each student applying for the Radboud University Scholarship. The criteria listed above are used to make this selection. Faculties may use other criteria to make their selections. For example, some study programs include interviews.

How do I apply for a Radboud University Scholarship?

Fully Funded Radboud University Scholarship

By indicating that you are interested in applying for a Radboud Univesity Scholarship during your application for admission to a Master’s program in the OSIRIS App system, The next step is to upload three additional documents, two reference letters, and a Curriculum Vitae. These documents can be uploaded again if you have already submitted them for your Master’s program application.

Selection for the Radboud University Scholarship and admission to the Master’s program are two distinct processes. Admission to the Master’s program does NOT imply selection to receive the scholarship.

Deadline for Radboud University Scholarship

Your application must be submitted to the OSIRIS Online Application System by February 28, 2022, at 23:59 CEST.

Note that incomplete applications will not be considered for the Radboud Scholarship selection. Incomplete applications are those that have missing or unreadable information. Please be aware that your application must be submitted online by the latest to allow the Admissions Office enough time to review it and notify you if it is incomplete. Please submit your proof of English proficiency by February 28, 2022.

The Department of Student Life and International Mobility will inform you about the final decision regarding your application for the Radboud Scholarship. This date is subject to change.
