Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships 2022-2023 fully funded masters scholarships available to international students. The scholarship grants of EUR 8200 and the tuition fee are waived for each academic year.

Within Flanders and Brussels, Flanders and Brussels Government of Flanders grants scholarships to exceptional candidates to study Masters’s programs. The program aims to promote Flanders and Brussels as the top choice for students.

Most Flemish institutions, Schools of Arts, and the Antwerp Maritime Academy will accept applications. The estimates suggest that Master Mind Scholarships 2021-2022 can be a benefit to 30 students from abroad. The Master Mind Scholarships cannot be directly applied to students. The Flemish host institution is required to use for admissions.

Scholarship Coverage

Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships offer recipients the following prizes:

  • The Master Mind Scholarship includes a donation of EUR 8200 plus an exemption from tuition fees for the semester (60 ECTS).
  • Master Mind Scholarship holders only pay an administrative fee for enrollment. The award is payable in installments and is used to pay for expenses for accommodation, insurance, and a significant portion of their living costs.

Eligibility Criteria for Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships

To be eligible to be considered for the Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships, you must meet the following requirements:

Language Requirements:

The student has a solid grasp of the English language:

  • they must have an average band score of at least 7.0 for an IELTS test;
  • An overall score of 94 on the TOEFL test.
  • C1 is the stage in the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference;
  • or similar results in or a similar result in another official test for language (recognized as such by the host
  • Institution).

Students who are applying for a Master’s degree at a School of Arts have at minimum

  • through a total band score of a minimum of 6.5 for an IELTS test;
  • A minimum score of 90 marks on a test. TOEFL test;
  • B2 is the level at which B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference;
  • or a similar test result on an or a similar result in another official English test for language (recognized by the host
  • institution).

Eligible Countries: All World Countries.

  • The applicant wants to be enrolled in an MA degree at a university located in Flanders (hereafter “Host institution”).
  • The applicant must demonstrate outstanding academic performance and potential. The student is a grade Percentage of 3.5 (3.5) out of 4.0:
  • The Host institution will also conduct an academic review of the student’s dossier. The host institution must accept the student to receive the award. Even even if the decision of the host institution to accept the applicant is determined after the mastermind scholarship program’s selection process, these criteria are still applicable.
  • Any nationality can apply. The degree previously obtained must be from a higher education institution that is not located in Flanders. Students from abroad working towards credit mobility at an institution that hosts a Flemish university can still be eligible to receive the Master Mind Scholarship.
  • Students already enrolled at Flemish University are not eligible to apply. There is a single exception for international applicants who submit their application in the spring of 2021 and have already been enrolled in a specific preparatory course to begin a master’s degree starting in the fall of 2021.
  • Mobility of students in the master’s program is permitted. But, at least 50% of the credits in the master’s program must be earned through the Flemish Host institution.

How to Apply for Government of Flanders Master Mind Scholarships?

Follow the below instructions for applying for the Master Mind Scholarships:

(1) Check whether you’re qualified to be considered and also if you are eligible to apply. The flemish institution you prefer is a participant in a Mastermind Scholarship. The applicant must submit their application to the host institution. The deadlines that the host institution establishes might be different (see section 6. Timing)

(2) The Host institution will accept the candidature of the applicant.

(3) The Host institution initiates the application process to apply for the Master Mind scholarship by creating the file of the applicant’s application using the tool Mobility-Online.

(4) The applicant will receive an email from the tool Mobility-Online, informing the applicant of being selected to be considered for a Master Mind scholarship.

(5) The applicant signs up for the Mobility-Online tool and fills out their application form within the device for Mobility-Online before the deadline.

  • Three reasons to justify the application (at least 150 words) of the candidate’s applications

(6) The Host institution must validate and submit the complete application file to the Mobility Online tool before the expiration date of April 30 2021, GMT+1. Applications not validated by midnight on April 30 2021 GMT+1 won’t be considered.
