P.E.O. International Peace Scholarships for Women Eligibility
A candidate must be eligible as a full-time student for graduate studies and pursuing graduation from an accredited university or college located in either the United States or Canada.
A non-citizen student or a non-permanent resident in Canada, the United States, or Canada is not qualified.
In the absence of studies, the scholarships are not awarded to interns, research, or practical training, and the awards cannot be used to pay off past dues.
To be eligible for the first scholarship, applicants must complete a full year of academics remaining to be enrolled and be residing in residence for the duration of the school year.
Doctoral students who have completed their studies and are only working on dissertations aren’t eligible for admission as first-time applicants.
International students attending county college can apply for an award of a grant.

The awards will be announced during May. It is expected that the prize will be split into two payments to be given out in August and December.
The P.E.O. Peace Fellowships International for Women Deadline for applications
The application deadline is December 15.
March 1 is the last day to submit the application form and other materials for applicants already in graduate programs or schools for which the award is for.
April 1 Last day to submit the application forms that have been completed by applicants who aren’t yet accepted into either the master’s program or at the school where the scholarship is being awarded.
Last day to submit complete application forms for those planning to attend Cottey College.

P.E.O. International Peace Fellowships have resulted in many winners over time.
The scholarship fellows have aimed to make their mark in academic, scientific research and medicine, the law and the performing arts, international literature, economics, history and government, and many other demanding fields and have made lasting contributions to their companies.

Shima Dowla has an M.D./Ph.D. in public health at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Medicine.
She began her study when she was still in high school, focusing on neural transmission in ADHD.
Shima later acquired an A.B. Magna cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a double major in neuroscience and Asia/Middle East studies.
Her dissertation was focused on factors that influence healthcare decisions among people living in the slums of Bangladesh.
After she completes her M.D. study, Shima plans to practice as a pediatric endocrinologist and scientist to help reduce the burden of children’s obesity and chronic metabolic disorders in Germany and abroad.
She has a Ph.D. in English Literature and Creative Writing from, the University of Cincinnati.
Caitlin Doyle’s love for poetry was prompted by her experience as an early-generation Irish American in songs, poetry, and tales from Ireland.
Caitlin obtained her B.A. from English literary and creative writing, with an honors grade and Phi Beta Kappa at her home at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Thomas Wolfe Scholar.
Then she completed an M.F.A. with a concentration in writing for creative purposes at Boston University as a George Starbuck Fellow in Poetry.
Her professional goals include the publication of books, poetry collections, and essays while also teaching literature and creative writing at Boston University.
Mary Jane Drake
She has a D.V.M. with a degree in Veterinarian Medicine Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.
The University of Pennsylvania. Mary Jane Drake graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in summa and the phi beta kappa.
In molecular and biochemistry.
After that, she earned her doctorate. On microbiology, at The University of Pennsylvania.
The professor is currently the only student in her veterinary course at Penn in microbiology, where she concentrates on the livestock population.
After graduation, Mary Jane plans to continue her research into the methods and systems of animal production for farmers and eventually write an appropriate public policy regarding managing animals with infectious diseases.
The maximum amount given to students is $12,500, and less may be granted depending on the individual’s requirements.
